Two options for earning your BSN are available through their Dorothea Lynde Dix Scholars program for second-degree applicants or students 24 years of age or older: a 16-month accelerated second-degree program and a 2-year course sequence for individuals with at least 2 years of transfer credit.
Only the fall semesters of their nursing programs are offered, although they welcome students in the spring and summer to finish their prerequisite coursework at Simmons.
Additionally, only those who already hold a Bachelor’s degree in another subject or who will be older than 24 when they enroll at Simmons may apply to be a Dix Scholar.
You must submit an application as a transfer student if you are under the age of 24, have more than 17 college credits after graduating from high school, and do not already hold a Bachelor’s degree.
