The University of Oklahoma is a comprehensive institution with the goals of offering cutting-edge learning, research, and service.
The University of Oklahoma’s College of Pharmacy has graduated more than 5,300 students since 1896, and pharmacy was the institution’s first professional department.
In addition to graduate programs in pharmaceutical sciences leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, the College provides a professional degree program in pharmacy called the Doctor of Pharmacy.
The four-year, full-time, on-campus Pharm.D. program at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy is for professionals. In the fourth year, students do nine one-month rotations in a variety of pharmacy settings, including but not limited to community, hospital, clinical services, social and administrative services, and more. The first three years of study are spent in the classroom.
The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy is dedicated to providing professional and graduate students with an education that will prepare them to satisfy the public’s demand for safe and efficient pharmaceutical treatment once they graduate.
In addition to several additional community pharmacies, hospitals, and specialty healthcare organizations in the state of Oklahoma and the metropolitan regions of Oklahoma City and Tulsa, the college maintains affiliation relationships with the hospitals in the Oklahoma Health Center.
The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). All professional practice contexts are open to pharmacy graduates.
