Oregon School of Massage
Oregon School of Massage, founded in 1984 and licensed by the Oregon Department of Education, is a private professional school devoted to massage and related health education.
Their 640-hour Massage Certificate Program prepares students for licensure in Oregon.
It teaches how to manipulate soft tissues by using different strokes that activate the neurological, circulatory, and muscular systems in an effort to loosen up tight muscles, improve circulation, ease pain, and encourage relaxation in general.
Students learn the basics of Swedish massage as well as the basics of Shiatsu.
You can finish in as little as 15 months with flexibility in your schedule and a full-time commitment to education.
It could take you up to 2 years to finish the degree, though, if you only take one or two classes each quarter due to other obligations.
