People who already hold a bachelor’s degree in any other field are eligible for accelerated nursing programs in Alabama.
They permit you to use your existing degree’s credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, which is the most popular degree held among registered nurses (RNs).

Their goal is to develop students into caring, capable, and compassionate graduates who are dedicated to service, scholarship, lifelong learning, and professional practice while offering a superior education in a Christian atmosphere.
They provide a five-semester second degree B.S.N. option for students who have already earned a degree in a subject other than nursing.
Each fall, this program kicks off and lasts for five semesters.
Their graduates consistently obtain pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) that are higher than the state and national averages.

University of Mobile
Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a subject other than nursing, or who are older than 23 and have completed at least 63 credit hours of college work, can enter the nursing sector quickly through the University of Mobile’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program.
The program lasts for four semesters straight.
Each spring semester, the ABSN program starts with classes that begin in January.
Professors who are familiar with the difficulties and joys of working as a nurse in the healthcare industry teach courses and conduct clinical sessions on campus and at nearby clinical facilities.
ABSN students should plan on spending 10 to 12 hours a day on-site, Monday through Thursday, with regular attendance on Friday and Saturday essential.
Also, ABSN students are strongly advised not to try and have a job while enrolled in the program.

University of North Alabama
Students who obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama will quickly acquire the knowledge and abilities required to become registered nurses.
Your organization, community, and beyond will change as a result of your nursing profession.
After earning a BSN, students will be qualified to treat adults, maintain mental health, and care for children while exercising moral judgment.
If a student has already earned a baccalaureate degree, they can choose the low residency accelerated BSN option.
The prerequisites for the BSN undergraduate degree must be satisfied before students can enroll in professional nursing courses, both clinical and non-clinical.
Once accepted into the nursing program, the didactic portion of the courses will be delivered in an online format.
Professional nursing courses in the accelerated BSN option can be completed in 15 months.

University of South Alabama
The College of Nursing has a special Accelerated BSN Pathway for academically qualified and highly motivated individuals who wish to earn the BSN degree.
Students are admitted to the Accelerated BSN program twice each year: January and July.
The pre-professional component must be completed prior to admission to the professional component in nursing.
