The School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at FDU aims to develop a values-based, student-centered learning environment that will enable its graduates to take leadership positions in pharmacy practice, healthcare research, and related fields, with the goal of enhancing the health of individuals and populations.
One of only two New Jersey colleges that awards degrees in pharmacy, the Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is the first private university-affiliated pharmacy school in the state.
Upon completion of the first professional year of pharmacy, applicants to the School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences with bachelor degrees may choose to pursue a Master’s degree in addition to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Students may be able to get both degrees through the integration of necessary master’s courses into the pharmacy program curriculum, with some master’s programs offering evening, weekend, or online overflow courses.
In addition to keeping a 3.0 grade point average in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, students who are interested in a dual degree must also satisfy the admissions standards for the second degree option they choose.

It also offers comprehensive postgraduate clinical residency and fellowship programs in a variety of fields.
While learning alongside their peers from Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, including students of medicine, nursing, and public health, among others, their students are mentored by top clinical and research faculty in their classrooms, laboratories, and a wide range of pharmacy practice settings.
In order to provide creative, faster routes to employment sectors that PharmD graduates typically choose, they have teamed with other Rutgers institutions.
Each of their dual-degree programs permits students to start working toward a master’s or second doctorate degree while finishing the PharmD degree; the majority of programs may cut down on the time it would take to get both degrees in order.
