Pharmacy Schools in Kansas

  1. University of Kansas School of Pharmacy

The University of Kansas opened its doors to its inaugural class of 55 students in 1866, who were housed in an incomplete structure atop Mount Oread, a ridge devoid of any trees.

Today, their enrollment sits at 28,500. From that single building, they have grown to five campuses — the Lawrence campus, the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, and medical branches in Kansas City, Wichita, and Salina.

They take pride in being the state’s flagship university and a leading research institution that serves the local community as well as the country and the rest of the globe.

Additionally, they continue to uphold its founding principles, which include the uplifting influence of learning, the transformational potential of research, and the therapeutic potential of service.

One of the top pharmacy schools in the nation and a top research institution is the KU School of Pharmacy.

In a wide range of settings, including community and retail pharmacies, hospitals, managed care facilities, and more, their Pharm.D. program trains students to become pharmacy practitioners.

The school of pharmacy also offer dual degree courses for their students who which to have their masters in other fields.

The KU Schools of Business and Pharmacy collaborate to provide the MBA/Pharm.D. at the University of Kansas.

The curriculum combines two already-existing degree programs and makes each one available as a combined program.

A health care-related project that counts as two APPE rotations will be completed by all joint MBA/Pharm.D. students.

Other dual degrees are

  • D./MS in Clinical Research
  • D./MS in Health Informatics
