Dental Hygiene – University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry
In order to educate and equip students for careers in dental hygiene, the University of Oklahoma Dental Hygiene Program was created.
The program requires students to complete two years of dental hygiene courses in addition to at least 60 hours of preparatory coursework from The University of Oklahoma or another approved university or college.
Graduates who successfully complete the program will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and be qualified to sit for the licensing exams necessary to work as registered dental hygienists.

Dental Assisting – Western Technology Center
The Dental Hygiene program at Western Technology Center provides students with the skills to provide preventative and therapeutic oral health services as a valued member of the dental team.
It is a two-year, full-time, Bachelor of Science degree program conducted in collaboration with the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry.
The dental hygiene student attends real-time lectures at the technology center with OU faculty members.
Clinical experiences occur in the WTC dental hygiene clinic with clinical instructors providing chair-side instruction.
Upon successful completion of the B.S. degree, the National Dental Hygiene Examination, the Western Regional Clinical Board and the Oklahoma Jurisprudence Exam, the graduate will be a licensed dental hygienist in the state of Oklahoma.
