Dental Assisting & Dental Hygiene – Indiana University Northwest
Their 37-credit hour dental assisting program is a one-year course that starts in August and ends in June. To be eligible for graduation, each student must earn a grade of C or above in each of the courses.
Additionally, they must complete 120 credits for their Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene, including 56 credits in general education required courses with a minimum GPA of 2.5. (On a 4.0 grading scale).
Following acceptance into the dental hygiene program, the student will sign up for classes meant to give them the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to practice dental hygiene.
The programs in Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
