Arizona State University
The Accelerated BSN clinical nursing program, formerly Postbaccalaureate Clinical Nursing Program (PBCNP), is a full-time, 12-month upper-division clinical nursing program designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in another discipline who wish to become a Registered Nurse (RN) by completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Current Edson College first-bachelor’s degree seeking students who meet eligibility requirements may also be considered for the Accelerated BSN.
Accelerated BSN starts twice per year – once in the spring (January) at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus and once in the fall (August) at ASU Lake Havasu.
Students in the Downtown Phoenix campus cohort start the program in January and graduate with their BSN in December.
Students in the ASU Lake Havasu cohort start the program in August and graduate with their BSN the following August.
Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN to gain licensure as a Registered Nurse.
There are two GPA calculations used to determine selection and eligibility for advancement into the Accelerated BSN.
Both the Select GPA and Prerequisite GPA must meet or exceed the minimum required GPA.

Second Degree BSN Admissions Requirements
To be accepted into the second degree BSN program, you must have completed the following courses:
- Anatomy and Physiology (two courses), a minimum of 6 semester credits
- Microbiology, a minimum of 3 semester credits
- Developmental or Lifespan Psychology, a minimum of 3 semester credits
- Statistics (in any field of study), a minimum of 3 semester credits.
If these classes were not part of your degree, you can complete them at Brookline before entering the second degree BSN program.
Brookline College does not have delayed acceptance. Once you’re accepted into the second degree BSN program, you are in.

This rigorous program is designed to be completed over 12 months, and courses are sequential and must be completed as listed in program materials.
