The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing, the biggest nursing program in the state, was established in 1911 and is committed to upholding the leadership and academic achievement that have come to be associated with the University of Oklahoma.

In addition to distance learning throughout the state, the College of Nursing offers full-time, part-time, and online education through its locations in Oklahoma City, Lawton, Tulsa, Duncan, and Norman.

Their training programs are focused to forming nurses and nursing leaders who are having an influence on healthcare in Oklahoma and beyond, under the direction of a diverse, great faculty.

Through intense research projects, as well as a wide range of local, regional, and international health-related community outreach programs that aim to address a wide spectrum of health challenges, the College of Nursing is enhancing healthcare throughout the lifetime.

The University of Oklahoma’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program is designed for students who desire to become nurses but already hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in a field unrelated to nursing.

Also, the nursing program consists of 60 credits of theoretical and clinically-based courses that can be finished in 14 months of intensive study.

Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
