Admission to this program occurs during the Fall semester.
The majority of the courses in this program are taught on-campus at Albany State University’s East and West Campuses, while some may also be given online or in a hybrid format.
Starting in the fall semester, this accelerated route consists of five (5) consecutive semesters.
The student will graduate from this program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
After passing the state’s license exam for registered nurses (the NCLEX), students will be equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Emory University
Students can complete a nursing degree at Emory in less time than it would take them to complete a conventional program thanks to the distance accelerated BSN (DABSN) program.
Also, students participate in learning activities that use a combination of lecture and clinical practice as part of a team-based learning community over the internet in order to build good clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities.
Students must hold a prior bachelor’s degree in a different field from an authorized institution or university in order to be admitted to the program.
The goal of the DABSN program was to increase accessibility to the prestigious BSN degree offered by Emory University.

Students must enroll for three consecutive semesters as part of their special, rigorous curriculum. Students take part in online classes using both live and pre-recorded course material.

48 credit hours must be completed for this quick program. Before starting the program, students must finish various preparatory courses.

Kennesaw State University (KSU)
For students with bachelor degrees in other subjects, this accelerated nursing curriculum offers a condensed four-semester program.
Prior to applying to the Accelerated Nursing Program, students who received their undergraduate degree from a college or university outside of the United States MUST complete the general education requirements and university-wide degree requirements.

Valdosta State University
For students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than nursing, Valdosta State University offers an accelerated BSN program.
Students must fulfill all admission requirements for the School of Nursing in order to be accepted.
The expedited BSN curriculum is four semesters long after students are admitted.
Each May, students sign up for the accelerated BSN program, and they complete it in July (approximately 15 months).
